Lost and Found

I am a regular performer at the 70’s Bistro Lounge and Café. I play all sorts of music every night, depending on the management’s preferred theme. Sometimes, other bands play as well. One night, after doing a whole set, I was packing up my stuff and I found excellent portable keyboards at musicians friend behind one of the speakers. I guess the keyboardist who played before me accidentally left it there.

I asked the bartender, Joey, to keep it because I’m sure the keyboardist will come back for it the next day. I was surprised when the next day, I found him sitting at the bar with his keyboards, waiting for me. He told me he left it on purpose so he’d have a reason to talk to me once I find it—his plan failed though because I didn’t check the instrument and didn’t see the number he left there. We still ended up having coffee together.
